Flag Pole Point is an accessible shore dive with a deeper (65’ to 110’) pinnacle and a shallow (12’ to 55’) reef. During my last two dives I saw 8 octos in various stages of life, multiple wolf eels, a dogfish shark, a spotted ratfish, cloud sponges, a variety of nudibranchs and crustaceans and echinoderms. The reef looked very healthy and is not as heavily dived as some others.
We have access to a house on the beach directly facing Flagpole Point. You walk across the back lawn to the water. It is set up for divers. There are air fills, a drying room, a covered staging deck, hot and cold rinse water at the edge of the beach. There is a full kitchen.
There are four bunks available for the nights of May 22 and 23 and 24. The cost is $85 per night. You can drop in and dive for the day for $20. Air fills included.
If you are interested in staying some or all of the the nights or dropping in for a day dive, direct message John McGinity or Spencer Tyree. As with or other club dives, you must be a paid member to attend.
