High Rocks - Clackamas River

Join us for a local dive on Sunday September 20 at High Rocks Park at 8:30 AM, 25 82nd Drive Gladstone, OR 97207 

The High Rocks dive is a drift dive along about one quarter of a mile along the Clackamas River. There will be freshwater fauna, and the opportunity to hunt for items lost by the swimmers and divers that frequent the park. September flows are usually low; the drift is usually slow. 

Entry requires a walk of about 200 yards along sidewalks and down rocks. The exit requires a walk of 70 yards on paths and sidewalks. There can be submerged trees and fishing tackle creating snags. A cutting tool is required. 

Since the distance is short, 2 or more dives are possible. We can talk about going out to lunch afterwards.
